Mastermind
Our minds and thoughts are powerful. They shape our perspective, impact our decisions, and influence our self-perception and lifestyle choices. But what can we do when we feel trapped by our thoughts? How can we navigate and break free from harmful and unhealthy thinking? How can we find freedom and victory? Let’s explore what it means to take our thoughts captive and become masterminds!

Partnership
Over the years, churches have kept membership rolls, held membership classes, and discussed the importance of church membership. Church membership signifies a Christian connecting, serving, and developing close fellowship (Acts 2:42) and living missional lives with a local body of believers. At Vertical, we choose to call our members partners. Partnership comes from the Greek word κοινωνία. Kοινωνία defined as fellowship, communion in participation, and a close relationship. Join us for this 6-part series as we dive into what it means to be a partner at Vertical church and why it makes a Kingdom Difference.

Been There Done That
This series will tackle some of the most challenging questions about this thing we call life. Why are we here? What is the meaning of life? How do I find fulfillment, satisfaction, and meaning in my life? People have been asking these questions for centuries, and many have failed to find an answer. Join us as we peel back these questions and find some answers together.

iWant
This series is about getting past what “iWant” from this Christmas season to what I NEED from this Christmas season. It is not something that I am going to use for a few months and then put back in a closet, not something that will help me for a while, and then I’ll lay down, but something that I can use every day, something that will change my life now and forever.

Follow Me
Our life is a journey that is best lived with Jesus Christ. Jesus says in John 10:13 that He came to give us life to the fullest or abundantly. Our abundant life is found in and walked with Jesus. Each Week (Hope, Courage, Direction, Love, Power), we will have a conversation on what it means to “Walk” in these areas of life and how doing so “With Jesus” leads us to that abundant life that He desires for us- our best possible life this side of heaven.

Happy Money
One of the biggest problems in the world today is people struggling with their finances. We are often filled with many emotions when it comes to our money (wealth, cash, stuff). At some point, in the past, currently walking through it, or in the future, we will be faced with unhealthy emotions about money. The love of money, wanting more, and believing it fuels our happiness. Money can’t buy me love, but it can buy happiness. Happy Money! God knows these emotions sit at the heart of humanity.

Restored
Everyone and everything eventually gets a little busted up. Life can leave us wounded, hurt, or stuck with some habit we don’t want. But God promises to restore us, not just a little bit, but at a soul level. Not just a little tinkering but promises to make us new—a promise of restoration.

Small Town Big Jesus
Never let the size of the town be a determining factor for what God wants to do. Never let the size of the church determine what God wants to do through it. We are called to take the gospel mission seriously in all locations worldwide, including all the small towns we call home!

The Bible
Over the years, the Bible has been affectionately known as “The Good Book.” People believed it to be the Word of God. But over the recent decades, this idea has eroded. Each year, fewer and fewer people read it, believe it to be true, or consider it relevant to life. Now, more than ever, is the time to stop and ask a simple question: “Is the Good Book God’s Book, and can I trust it?”

Marriage on Purpose
A great marriage doesn’t happen by accident; it requires care and regular maintenance. Marriage takes work, but a good marriage takes hard work. Sometimes, we don’t want to make the effort. If it seems like it’s not broken, do we really need to talk about it? Yes!
